The Ghanaian star was one of the victims of the earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria last week. Atsu, who plays for Hatayspor, was at home when the tragic incident happened. Immediately after the earthquake hit, rescuers went on an extensive search for Atsu and other trapped victims. Initially, there were unconfirmed reports that the Ghanaian had been found and was recovering in the hospital. However, Atsu’s agent, Nana Sechere, and his club Hatayspor dispelled the fake news but revealed rescuers were still looking for the Ghanaian.
